This group will be migrated to the new design soon. Please contact the group admins to start the migration and save content the group may lose access to.
IF YOUR ART IS INVITED TO THE GROUP THEN DO CONSIDER JOINING IT : BCOZ WE WANT TO SEE MORE FROM YOU !
We are a group intended to foster India its neighbors, their culture and ART , and as such, we cater to ALL art forms. All digital art belongs in the digital art folder (this includes fractal art and photomanipulations). All traditional art, be it watercolor or oil paintings, belong in the Traditional Art folder, together with animations and miscellaneous illustrations (such as t-shirt designs). Specific folders such as people and portraits are intended for photography ONLY. The one exception is the adult section folder, in which all nude art belongs, regardless of type.
Before submitting to a specific folder, make sure to check out ALL the folders. Sometimes your art may technically fit into one folder, but it actually belongs in a different folder which fits It better. If you’re still unsure as to what folder your submission belongs, don’t just pick one and go with it, rather send us a note and we’ll help clarify the situation.
Quality over quantity; before you submit, make sure you’re submitting your BEST pieces. Scraps, unfinished art, blurry, grainy, noisy, unfocused or badly composed submissions will be declined. While we do respect all art, the group aims to give its members and viewers something that will have a strong impact, and this can only be achieved if your art is well-made.
The submission limit is |5 per day| Doing this ensures that all art submitted to the group is being displayed equally on a daily basis.
Why your submission was declined:
It was submitted to an incorrect folder. If this happens you will be asked to withdraw and/or resubmit to the correct folder.
It was unfinished, unintentionally/inartistically blurry, pornographic, racist/sexist/bigoted, noisy, unfocused, badly composed etc.
Do not spam every gallery folder or favourites.
If your image is declined, please do not resubmit it.
NO bullying or bad mouthing of others work.
If you want to know why your submission was declined in more detail feel free to ask in the comments of the Deviation Submission process. We would love to give you feedback to help you grow as an artist
Hello all, I am looking for artists from this group to collaborate in my Buddharts Project. I need digital artists to recreate the life of the historical Buddha according to the writings. Significant events and key players during the life of the Buddha in India will be the main focus. I will provide reference images and descriptive background to shape the image. This is a very serious project and will definitely bring good fortune. Please write to me at, Buddharts.info@gmail.com Am very new to DA.
I'm not Indian myself (actually, I'm Western European. British-Welsh, to be exact), but, as an eager writer, I've recently taken an interest in the historical folk tales from around the world.
My question is this: would it be seen by Indians as acceptable for someone like me to write my own versions of classic folk stories from your culture? Admittedly I already have a couple of international stories in my gallery, but I want to check about how acceptable this is before I go any further.
Any responses would be appreciated. Thanks for reading!
Thanks a lot for the request, it's a fantasy short story obviously but it is based on some time I was travelling around Jaipur, up to Himachal Pradesh and around the Pin Valley region. My favourite place in the world and my expriences in India form a lot of how I try and live / work today.
